Ed-SIM
2000 contains a SMS editor this will allow you to Read/Write/Delete any
stored messages within the SIM Card
The
GSM network allows users to send and receive short text messages with
mobile phones. The messages sent and received are stored on SIM-cards.
The maximum number of messages that can be stored on a card is dependent
on the card capabilities.
On
insertion of a SIM Card into the reader the maximum number of entries
is determined and displayed. Using the read sms button,
the actual entries are read from the SIM card.
The field status indicates
if the message has been received, has been sent or
is to be sent by the mobile phone. The status received
NEW is used for messages which have received but not yet displayed
on the mobile phone.
With the expiration
time you can specify for outgoing messages how long the message
should be kept in case the recipient is not available.
The send
date indicates the time of dispatch of a message for incoming
messages.
The field Service
Center dial number needs to contain the dial number of your
short message service center.
Contact your service provider for more information on short message services.
