EDSIM 2000 allows the user to lock Fixed Dial numbers within the SIM card, so that the phone will only be able to call the numbers in the fixed dial list. This is useful for employers to only allow employees to call certain numbers

An example is implementation within the Transport/Haulage industry: each driver can be supplied with a mobile phone with only the office number programmed in the fixed list, and therefore can only call the office and not call any other number.

By having no numbers in the fixed list only emergency calls can be made, so the mobile becomes an incoming call mobile only.
